This Privacy Policy explains what information contractrates.fyi ("we", "us") collects when you use our website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and to be direct about what we do.

What we collect

Account information. If you create an account, we store your email address and any profile details you choose to provide. Authentication is handled through Firebase Authentication.
Rate submissions. Rates you submit are stored and shown publicly. We do not attach your identity to your submissions on the public site — submissions are anonymous to other visitors.
Contact messages. If you email us or use the contact form, we keep the message so we can respond.
Usage data. We use Gizmo Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages visited, referrers, rough geography). Gizmo is a privacy-respecting analytics provider — it does not use cookies to track individuals across sites and does not build advertising profiles. See the Gizmo Analytics site for details.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention. These are retained for a short period.

How we use it

To operate the site and show you the rate data you came for.
To let you sign in, submit rates, and manage your own submissions.
To reply to messages you send us.
To understand aggregate traffic patterns so we can improve the site.
To detect and prevent abuse or spam.

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information.
We do not accept payment to manipulate rate data.
We do not link your public rate submissions to your identity.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of third parties to run the site:

Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, and hosting.
Gizmo Analytics for traffic analytics.
Google AdSense may serve ads on some pages. AdSense may set cookies; you can manage ad personalization in your Google account settings.

Your choices

You can delete your account or any rate you submitted from your dashboard. If you have trouble, email us and we will handle it.
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us.
Most browsers let you block or clear cookies. Blocking cookies may break sign-in.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, post a notice on the site.
