What the widget calculates
The hourly estimate is the annual personal pay target plus expenses and benefits, divided by working weeks and weekly billable hours. The day rate multiplies that hourly estimate by the visitor’s billable hours per day. It uses the same calculation as our full freelance calculator. This is a cost-based planning estimate, not tax advice or a market-price benchmark.
Privacy and attribution
The widget runs its calculations in the browser. It does not send input values to us or the embedding page, and it uses no analytics, authentication, cookies or browser storage. Opening its full-calculator link explicitly includes the entered values in the destination URL. Normal hosting request logs still apply when the iframe loads. Your own site may have its own analytics and privacy practices.
A visible source link appears inside the widget. No separate attribution link is required, and there are no hidden links. The builder records a categorical copy event when you copy the snippet; it does not include visitor inputs or your website address. See our privacy policy.
